GLEN PARK GREENWAY

COMMUNITY PLANTING
SAN FRANCISCO, CA | 2022

The Glen Park Greenway is a riparian corridor that runs along the former banks of Islais Creek in San Francisco. Miridae was tasked with integrating a quarter-acre native meadow into a well-traveled section of the Greenway. The overall project goals were part of a larger vision for Glen Park Greenway and include: benefiting the surrounding community and ecology, honoring the site and neighborhood history, and conserving water. Working with Friends of the Glen Park Greenway and BASE Landscape Architecture, Miridae developed an “Along the Creek” concept that honors the historic creek through drifts of blue blooms and blue-toned foliage that weave around the pedestrian trail.
